NIECA GOLDBERG, M.D.
Nieca Goldberg MD. is the Senior Advisor Women’s Health Strategy NYU Langone Health, a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine NYU School of Medicine, Medical Director of NYU Women’s Heart Program, founder and former Medical Director Joan H. Tisch Center for Women’s Health. She is also the Co-Medical Director of the 92nd Street Y’s Cardio Rehab Program.
Dr. Goldberg is a high-profile nationally recognized pioneer in women’s heart health. She has been in New York Magazine’s annual “Best Doctors” list for fifteen years.
The author of Dr, Nieca Goldberg’s Complete Guide to Women’s Health and the award-winning Women are not Small Men (updated and re-titled The Women’s Healthy Heart Program) and radio show host on Doctor Radio SIRIUS XM 110, “Beyond the Heart,” Dr. Nieca advocates for customized health care for women—at lectures, seminars and in extensive media appearances. She is a national spokesperson for the American Heart Association; she started the “Go Red for Women” campaign and serves on the Woman’s Day Editorial Advisory Board.
Dr. Nieca is a graduate of Barnard College and SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, where she also completed a fellowship in cardiology. Her research, medical publications, lectures and seminars all focus on cardiovascular disease in women and the potential benefits derived from a healthy lifestyle.

A staunch advocate of customized heart care for women, Dr. Nieca has received numerous awards, including among others the American Heart Association’s “Dr. with Heart” award, Woman’s Day Magazine’s “Red Dress” award, Jewish Women International’s “Women to Watch” Award and The Women at Heart Award from the Links Greater New York Chapter.
